Why we insist on finishing before we review
Plenty of mobile games are brilliant for an hour and then quietly fall apart. Maybe the difficulty spikes, maybe the fun loop turns into a chore, maybe the story just runs out of ideas. You only find that out by playing on.
That's why our rule is to reach the point where a game shows its real character before we write a verdict. For an arcade game like Volcane Spins that might mean dozens of runs; for an RPG it means getting deep enough to see how the systems open up.
It takes longer, obviously. It's also the whole reason the site exists — if we were just skimming the opening hour, you could do that yourself in the store.
We won't always finish everything one hundred percent, and we'll tell you when we didn't. But we'll never score a game off a quick look.
